About

About Out of the GRND

Independent coverage of junior resource companies, written for retail investors.

What we do

Out of the GRND publishes written reviews of junior resource companies, guidance on how exploration and resource reporting work, and a podcast with the people running these companies.

Companies wanting to be covered can read how that works.

The list of companies we cover is short on purpose. A company earns a place on it by being possible to explain honestly, with published numbers a reader can check, and we would rather publish a handful of reviews worth reading than a directory of summaries.

The junior end of the resource market is badly served. Company announcements assume knowledge most retail investors have never been given a way to acquire, and a good deal of what is written about the sector is promotional. We try to explain what is actually being said.

What we are not

We are not a broker, a trading platform, an investment adviser or a tip service. We publish no buy or sell ratings, no price targets, and no rankings by investment merit.

Where we describe what has happened, we say where the information came from. Where we form a view, we say that it is a view.

How we handle data

Prices come from named benchmarks with the date attached. Where no reliable free source exists for a commodity, we publish no price rather than an unreliable one, and the page says so.

Facts about companies and projects carry a source and the date we last checked them.
