Six metals that occur together and behave similarly: platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, osmium and ruthenium. Platinum and palladium have their own pages here because they are priced daily; the others are assessed less transparently.

Supply
Concentrated in southern Africa and Russia, usually recovered together from the same ore, and often alongside nickel and copper. Rhodium in particular can move violently because the market is very small.
